Cambridge International A Level Physics (9702)
Students need to complete both the AS and what is often referred to as A2 in order to achieve an A level.
Students are entered for two additional examinations to complete the A level course. Papers 4 and 5.
Paper 4 has a duration of 2 hours and is marked out of 100. The paper is made up of structured questions which assess the full syllabus including prior knowledge of the AS syllabus. This paper is worth 38.5% of the A level.
Paper 5 has a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes and is marked out of 30. Students must answer two compulsory questions based on experimental skills from the practical assessment section of the syllabus. It is worth 11.5% of the A level.
